It can be a little different. Let me ask? Have you ever had a Holy Ghost confidence in anything. For example maybe you had peace when things around you were in turmoil. You could not explain that peace but it was as if you were peace and peace was you. Of course you knew it was a gift from the Holy Spirit but it sure was wonderful. You did not try to get peace it was as if you were peace for that moment. Sure you understood there was none of your ability that bought it, the peace was a gift and filled your very being.

That is a great way to start to understand when we say just “BE” when the Holy Spirit fills you through the baptism of the Holy Spirit then you can BE. There is no trying or work involved. It is not an external force giving to you but rather from inside wells up what IS.

I believe that explains some about why people are affected as they are around such an individual. Think about it one who is peace comes into a room peace comes with them. People may struggle to understand what they are feeling when around such an individual but a reaction or action always follows. Demons manifest, or some like a moth to the light are drawn. A wise individual does well to allow that consciousness of who the Holy Spirit is in them to increase.

The day of Pentecost gave them power as Jesus said it would and from that point things were to increase as the revelation of how to live that power increased in their lives. Philip when he left Jerusalem was healing and healing was Philip and Samaria was transformed. Now so nobody gets too weirded out remember it all happens because of the Holy Spirit filling us. I believe the rest of the new testament after Acts deals with people like us who keep turning back to systems, the soul or the flesh to try and achieve. Remember anything we try to do or not do in God is manmade religion. It may make us feel special but it does not impress God, nor increase intimacy. Just BE go to the place in your life where you received the baptism in the Holy Spirit and live from there BE. Suddenly all the effort goes and results ARE. Now we can think I need more intimacy or try to convince others of such. But when there is a true fusion with the Holy Spirit intimacy IS. Nobody told me to be intimate with my wife. I just cannot get enough of her, I don’t look to get away from her as we have a marriage not a partnership.

It has been an incredible time of sitting with like minded believers and BEING. The flowing of what that looks like is something I have never walked in such a way before. Each day becomes new and exciting in God and the separation of spirit and soul is more of a revelation. On the back of such immense times of fellowship comes the impact it has on the world around us. Truly I am amazed to watch as we BE there is a reaction or action in the world around.

A quick follow up. I did not want to write too much on the last email.

Acts 8: Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went. 5 Philip went down to a city in Samaria and proclaimed the Messiah there. 6 When the crowds heard Philip and saw the signs he performed, they all paid close attention to what he said. 7 For with shrieks, impure spirits came out of many, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. 8 So there was great joy in that city.
14 When the apostles in Jerusalem heard that Samaria had accepted the word of God, they sent Peter and John to Samaria. 15 When they arrived, they prayed for the new believers there that they might receive the Holy Spirit, 16 because the Holy Spirit had not yet come on any of them; they had simply been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 17 Then Peter and John placed their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
18 When Simon saw that the Spirit was given at the laying on of the apostles’ hands, he offered them money 19 and said, “Give me also this ability so that everyone on whom I lay my hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”
I do not personally think that Phillip went to Samaria knowing what would happen. He left because of persecution and just proclaimed what was flowing out of His life. He just “was”, Philip had seen the move of the Holy Spirit in Jerusalem but now was in Samaria, I love what the bible says “So there was great joy in that city” Jerusalem had seen a move of the Holy Spirit in the day of Pentecost and all the thousands who received Christ after that. Philip on the other hand saw something just as or even more amazing than 8000 decisions for Christ. He changed a city! He bought joy to the city as he just lived. “BE”. A lot like Matt as he just was Matt in the hospital, remember the nurse said he bought joy to the place.

As a side note even Peter and John came down from Jerusalem when they heard what was going on and they baptized people in the Holy Spirit. That is obvious as why would the sorcerer want to buy the power of the Holy Spirit if there was not a visible effect, with tongues being just the beginning.

There are many changes to how we think and do things. Personally I try not to advertise some of the amazing things God is doing in TRANSFORMING lives. I do not email this out to our mailing list of emails, just too few, with even that being limited. To one who would come as a spectator they would be very disappointed as the changes are not loud. There is no show, no noise and nothing visibly exciting. Excitement is wonderful but in reality it is only an emotion of the soul and those who chase such fail to understand some of the greatest Holy Spirit touches happen outside the soul. Matt looks like a normal guy he does not glow, he does not say hallelujah all the time. He is just a man who has been transformed by a meeting with the Holy Spirit he never even knew he needed. Matt is revival as are Peter and Nancy and Carl and Tarso and Scott and Lara any other who are having a paradigm shift. Many know the theory of what I am saying, but God save me from even being a seen it guy. I am astounded by every life I see changed, astounded every time the Holy Spirit….(loss of words) Truly He is the great “I AM”

We filter what we see through what we know and then limit what we are.. One of the most amazing things coming out of this revival of lives is the fact people remain humble don’t talk about it and walk into a confidence to “BE” not a natural confidence but a spiritual encounter, transformation, infusion, what? Matt gave the groceries weeks ago and just mentioned it in passing yesterday, to him it is now becoming the normal who he is. So we don’t chase people or convince people we just BE and the right ones arrive.
As the Matt’s and Tarso’s and everyday believers just BE then, demons manifest as they just live life. For a few this has been the events of their weeks walking through shops or in parks and having people manifest demons as they walk past. Tarso and I sat together this week and discussed spiritual warfare. We are allowing our lives to be rewritten in this and Acts 16:17 has been the seed bed for much thought. What to do when the demons harass you in public when you are just being you.

17 She followed Paul and the rest of us, shouting, “These men are servants of the Most High God, who are telling you the way to be saved.” 18 She kept this up for many days. Finally Paul became so annoyed that he turned around and said to the spirit, “In the name of Jesus Christ I command you to come out of her!” At that moment the spirit left her.

Anyway I could write all day I do want to keep provoking thoughts and sowing seeds and his is my purpose. May we get beyond our thoughts and catch the Holy Spirit in His limitless creative and amazing ways. Outside the box of everything we think we know or have experienced in some small way. How can we not be humbled like the Apostle Paul when we see a glimpse of an eternal infinite God and see ourselves and knowledge and experiences in relation to Him. Humility is not by mental ascent or living standards. It is a gift caught as we continue to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

So if the book of Acts is the lifestyle or life we are to be then I guess you could say everything after that is written to help us live that lifestyle. It is helping us understand what it is to walk by the Spirit. We have been talking a lot about the fact we must just “BE” and again a relevant example may be Matt. He is a bit like the apostle Paul. One who did not believe in want or was not even looking for the Holy Spirit of God. He does not know what is normal if there is a normal in a Spirit life.

As much as we would like to say it was a plan there is no master plan he is turned onto. So as he just lives who he is and he is a work of art to those who care to look. He recently, because of his recent head injury was in a psychiatric ward for tests. What was to be 3 or 4 days turned to probably 10 days. It was unusual to visit him as he was in with some very troubled patients but he just “was” who he is. The Holy Spirit, as him or in him, had one of the therapists in tears she was so touched. Patients sought him out, the Chaplin reported him for talking about God when he overheard him mention God and the hospital —– asked him to please not talk of Jesus or God to anyone. He told me he could not help it, life just flowed from in him. One patient the doctors could not get to talk opened up to Matt and the doctors got mad at Matt over that. That man saw some deliverance that the WORLDS leading doctors could not bring. His impact was so that when he left one nurse said OH you are Matt I just want to tell you since being here you have bought joy to the staff and patients. Everyone wanted the Holy Spirit that flowed from Matt. He has a list of names and phone numbers people have given him asking his to call them.

So sitting talking yesterday he asked if we could just go for a drive. Not knowing where to after a while he asked to go to the local hospital and said he had no reason just wanted to go there. We walked through the place and on the way out went to the emergency room. There was a lady he knew sitting there who had just arrived. A lady that when he told his church board what was going on in his life had commented I have wanted something like that all my life. I sat and shared with her while Matt went in and prayed for the son in-law who was trying to pass a kidney stone. She was blown away God had bought us.

Another day Matt stopped his car to give a stranger working in their yard some groceries. He left them in his car so the man would not think him strange. As he walked up to this stranger in an area he lives nowhere near. The man said you are Matt aren’t you and you have bought us food. Matt replied yes and went back to his car and returned with the box of groceries he had for the man. For the locals reading this Matt lives in Beverley and gave the box in Revere. That is a long way to drive on a feeling. He told me about this event yesterday and asked was that God or the devil. So you can understand he is not trying to do anything. He is just “being”. What amazed me was he never thought it strange the man knew who he was by name and why he had come. He never asked any details but just like it was normal handed the man the box and turned and walked off.

So our latest phrase is this ‘”anything you are trying to do or not do for God is religion, just BE” are you trying to tell more people about Jesus? or are you trying to pray more? or are you trying to be a better person? If so catch the book of Acts and JUST BE.

It is at this time many things are under the microscope in our lives. Going back to the word I am fascinated by the first five chapters of Acts and begin in a very very minutely small measure to understand the dynamic of what may have been going on behind the scenes.

For example in Acts 5:42 daily in the temple and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

Anyone who has started a path of discipleship has to see themselves in some small way when reading of Peter. Peter loved walking around with Jesus but in reality he must have had some concerns of the future. In Matthew 19:27 we read where Peter said “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?”
Come on put yourself in Peters shoes. Lets apply it to us today. If Jesus walked into your work and said, come follow me. What would be our reply? Don’t you think Peter had concerns where the money was coming from to live. Maybe he had rent or taxes or ……? What made the disciples exceptional men was their ability to leave everything and trust that Jesus would take care of it. But Peter had a concern maybe he was wondering about retirement so he asked ; “We have left everything to follow you! What then will there be for us?” In reality understand this Peter left everything, EVERYTHING! His life was messed up, DESTROYED as he knew it and he never spent his time building a ministry or a group of supporters to take care of him. He was in a totally vulnerable position that in reality nobody in their right mind would want to be in. There-in lies the problem for us, we like being in the right mind, OUR mind, our way of doing things and working answers. But how would it be if like Peter we draw strength from the mind of Christ. In such a case we do well to study Romans 8:6-7 and understand what it says about our mind.

So all is not lost, if we draw strength from the answer Jesus gave
28 Jesus said to them, “Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man sits on his glorious throne, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. 29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife[e] or children or fields for my sake will receive a hundred times as much and will inherit eternal life. 30 But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first.
It is evident that as the Holy Spirit moves in increasing ways many, many changes to the way we live are required. No longer will one or two meetings a week be the focal point but there must be a desire and hunger to allow the focal point of our week to be a daily walk with Jesus. Yes that requires changes, yes that will absolutely mess up our schedules, yes there will be questions like Peter asked but above all YES JESUS HAS OUR ANSWERS and in intimacy with Him lay your and my answers. If we no longer try to be anything, try to change anything, but BE who we are in Him then the life of Christ Jesus flows out of that and changes everything.
I often say the book of Acts is not taught it is caught and that does not just mean we speak in tongues. The baptism of the Holy Spirit that occurred on the day of Pentecost was just the beginning of a new way of worship, a new way of doing church, a new way of life. The Holy Spirit when He fills our life flows out of us and changes the world around us. WE ARE revival. Don’t be fooled into thinking we understand what a move of God looks like. We have no idea and if we did we would probably mass produce it and live it without Him.
I have not arrived but I can say this I begin to understand as revival happens in me the daily focus becomes intimacy and out of that people around are affected. They are affected many times without my knowledge. Think about it if we carry the presence of God for no other reason than we have been with Him and are Him then how would that not bring change. We need a Holy Spirit filling that never ends. That is why the bible talks of “be being filled” with the Holy Spirit. ONGOING FILLING!

I got a kick out of this one and wanted to send it on.

As the Holy Spirit is igniting people we never cease to be amazed and love to talk about what is happening as it does nothing but encourage. I emailed previous about a prayer meeting that a man put on who was touched by what God is doing. I guess he had a few families attend and the Holy Spirit started to move. The home owner said to the other attendees, I don’t believe in prophecy but I really feel I am supposed to say this to you. He proceeded to prophecy over a woman’s life that was there. Matt sat in the meeting speaking quietly in Holy Ghost tongues. So here in this New England group of ultra conservatives the Holy Spirit starts to move. Nobody in the room believes in what they are doing but their hunger is so strong and the blessings so wonderful they are doing it anyway.
God is totally rewiring the way we do things and it is so refreshing to realize how dumb we really are. It is wonderful to realize how little we really know about the ways of the Holy Spirit and to allow God to wipe our slate clean and write on it what He wants. The challenge is to not take the pen from His hand and write for Him.

The bible says His mercies are new every morning, Lord do I need that mercy. The focus is not revival the focus is not the manifestations. The focus is Jesus and a desire for intimacy with the Holy Spirit, we are worn out on the gimmicks, frustrated by opinions and getting to a place of intimacy with what I call the “I don’t care anointing” meaning people are starting to say I don’t care. I desire to BE! To BE who HE is in me and who He says I am.

Funny thing is when you begin to get the revelation He does not need our programs, our entertainment, our events, our ideas and wisdom, schools, bands, dramas etc. Then and only then we begin to feel empty almost lost, out of that emptiness He comes and fills. If we act out of anything but intimacy we have religion and dead works.

Just some further thoughts.

One thing that is coming through so strong is the fact we are everything to God but when we think we know something of what He wants to do we are nothing. One of the greatest dangers we face is not just sin but ourselves and how we approach life in Jesus. For example I believe many times God gives us dreams and visions of what He wants to do and we stitch together those dreams and visions and like a jigsaw puzzle piece them together in our head as to what we feel the greater picture looks like. We place our religious words on the pieces and attach our pride into thinking we know a little of what God is planning.

I am realizing like never before that we all do that in some way and in doing that we slow the work of God around our individual lives. One thing that is causing great discomfort to me and many others is the way God is doing things. It just does not look like anything I or any other has seen before. Oh sure we have seen aspects and pieces of what He is doing but in my understanding the reason we have lived some of these pieces in measure before is because we allow God to do something then we take it over and work it for Him. When we do that we essentially camp out there until things die out or change.
To empty ourselves daily of “me” is a challenge but as we surrender to the cross and die daily as the bible says then and only then can God create around us what He wants. I mentioned a man in a previous email who came to a Friday night for 10 minutes and left an hour and a half later. That was weeks ago and as we have not connected since I presumed he was distracted with life as so many get. Yesterday I found out his life has been turned upside down. He is putting together a men’s prayer meeting in a home in Beverley/Danvers. He is so passionate about it he resigned from his church leadership to do it. He just wants to get with the men and pray for Gods way. I never organized or suggested he do what he is doing. I think it is AMAZING but feel no need to run or control it. It is taking a life of its own through men who are hungry and searching. Sure there may be a time I or others get to encourage but PRAISE the LORD this is bigger than me.

Resigning from church leadership is offensive to many but in reality none of us know the true situation. I do know he is looking the Jesus and for His way of doing things. I also live out of the conviction the church has been busy telling God how, why and when He should do things. We suggest we want a move of God more than God does with our attitudes and wonder why He is not doing it like we feel He should and in reality the problem is not with God. It is my conviction that God is moving on the outside of the church and it will go in. NOT as many believe on the inside and it goes out. Music, unity, teaching, buildings, books, cd,s are wonderful but they are not a society changing move of God, unless they are born of the Spirit of God for that moment. America knows how to advertise to get a move of God. We have seen plenty of those and are not interested in another. Lord give us the real deal where you have your way in society and in us!

The whole covering deal, in my opinion covering is relational not legalistic. It is not a tool to control or manipulate, when covering comes from relationship with like men and women of the Holy Spirit it is a beautiful thing that brings life and freedom. This is something many would do well to discover as their concepts of covering are old testament not post book of Acts. Anything we make a formula of is no longer breathing the life of the Holy Spirit. It has become a good idea that limits men in living the limitless Holy Spirit book of Acts lifestyle.

So let’s take responsibility for ourselves and our Holy Spirit lifestyle as we walk relationship with others of like mind and faith. I am amazed to find the dumber I am becoming in my ways and knowledge the more I see God is doing. There are plenty of people running around serving God who sadly may totally miss what God is doing as they are fearful of man more than God and hungry for acceptance and recognition. If I can give any suggestion it would be this. Lose our practiced religious words and ways, empty ourselves of our great ideas, humble ourselves and lay at the feet of Jesus, then let Him put the puzzle together. There is a real freedom that comes in understanding how dumb spiritually we really are.

Finally I received this email from one lady God is stirring in part it says:

“Good morning, I’m up early this Sunday morning, the routine was just going to church every Sunday and waiting till the next…. But now that is changing.
To go to Fri for fellowship and prayer and then loading up van with food. It’s amazing how God interrupts us, Wakes us up to needs of people.

…… Patricia (new believer)went over one of the Spanish ladies (visitor) house for dinner, they connected

Daniel our second eldest son was studying the Greeks in history. He was telling me how they got so good at math they started to worship it and when that happened they never got any better as they only thought they could get to a certain point. Would that describe modern worship? Now without heading in all sorts of directions with this I want to mention one area. We approach God through our ability and methods. But how would it be if we just WERE. Let me explain a little we worship the great I AM the bible says and in my limited sphere of understanding I am starting to know that if I am in the great I AM then I must just BE. If I am trying to be, trying to achieve, or trying to please then in reality, anything or any place I am trying to be or get to is based more in me than in the great I AM.

I hear someone say so what we sit on our sofa and BE and in response I would suggest you remove yourself from getting my emails I am only going to aggravate you. What I am trying to express is that we are running around trying to get somewhere and we have no idea of what that place looks like. As long as we feel good or feel like we are achieving then many times we are fairly content. Remember man derives his self worth from what he does instead of who God says he is. If I am deriving myself worth from my actions then I am humanistic but if I have my self worth from who HE says I am then I can BE all that He wants. But that comes from one place only and that is intimacy with the great I AM. God does not try to attain, try to be or try anything. HE IS and so are those who walk by the Holy Spirit.

Some use the verse that says you will know them by their fruits. They then make the fruit a carnal manifestation such as buildings prosperity or a huge ministry. How would it be if the fruits we know them by are the fruits of the Spirit talked about in Galatians. Love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. How would it be if we lived by two rules, love God and love your neighbor as yourself. Loving our neighbor, come on now what does that really mean through Gods eyes.

God seems to be reworking our thinking in so many things and the challenge is to never stop in one place. Really what started this whole way of thinking is the fact God is moving more in the lives of people who do not believe He can. They are not looking for a move of the Holy Ghost as they don’t believe in such, they are not looking for signs and wonders as they don’t believe they are for today. These are the people that so many feel spiritually superior to. Granted many of these people are looking for something but do not know what. I begin to understand that is a precious place to be. A place of pure expectation, where we expect God but don’t know what that really looks like. Could it be when we are in such a place He is able to do things and create things the way He wants. Where we stop telling Him and start listening to Him.

Matt is a great example of this he is having such an encounter with the Holy Spirit and is the first to tell you he has been having trouble. He told me I am in a real strange place as I don’t believe in any of the stuff I am doing. He said, “my head I can write a thesis on why all this has ended but it is happening to me”. He is a great example of Romans 8 where it talks of our natural mind not being able to receive the things of the Spirit. Matt had been waiting for his head to catch up, though in reality if it ever does he has become a Greek. The amazing grace of God.

I am being challenged and pray this email disturbs you enough that you remove the self imposed limitations. Let the limitless God create in and around us. Hang out with Him more, get desperate and return to your first love. BE! Lose the excuses, and let your choice always be life in the Holy Ghost. If you must downsize your lifestyle, then so be it. Sell the car if you have to but in reality where is your first love.
One last thought that comes through so strong lately. Is the fact if we live by what the bible says , love God and love your neighbor, then we understand all His resources are in the people. God invests in people and if we are living, love God & Love people then everything we need flows out of that. If we spend our life raising funds for ministry or working to build a ministry then, woe is us! We have religion! Oh sure ministry touches people but time to get honest and return to our first love. I love what Jesus did, He is our great example. He never built anything but people, had thousands follow Him. Think of the training centers he could have established, the apostolic network He could have built. He could have fed and helped so many poor people. But He did it the opposite to today’s methods and when He died all he had was his mother and a few others around. He knew the only asset worth building was the people. He loved God and loved His neighbor! Lord help me to do likewise and save us from ourselves!!!!!

Some observations we are finding.
Firstly those that think they have just don’t get it. Those that know that have not, are getting it and are lighting up. One comment we talked about recently was how so many who believe they are in the fullness of the Holy Spirit are totally missing what is going on. There are so many stories of people who do not believe in the works of the Holy Spirit or have never seen any being changed. For example
Peter and Nancy have been reconnected to a legalistic group of believers they left 36 years ago. They VERY STRONGLY DO NOT believe in the works of the Holy Spirit. Monday night Peter sat in one of their meetings that was due to go from 7 -9pm at 1:30am Peter left with them begging him to stay. He spoke to the pastor about tongues or the baptism in the Holy Spirit he prayed for people and moved in the Holy Spirit. The comments were people saying God is doing something and they are so excited and in expectation of what is coming next. Peter and Nancy carry the Acts deposit, the lifestyle and community of the book of Acts through the Holy Spirit. It is not organized in our current understanding of organization. Roll this over for a while; it is spontaneous, instead of organizing we are facilitating. The meeting Peter attended was in a home and was held because people just came together to pray looking for more. They felt a stirring did not understand what that was so figured to come and pray together to find what it was. Their original plan was to pray all night but changed the plans to finish early. Then enter Holy Ghost each week it gets better now they are catching the move of the Holy Spirit. None of those folks know when the next meeting is they just do it as it comes together. What many call non spirit filled people are flowing better with the Holy Spirit than……!
So I personally have never been there and may never. We breathed into Peter and Nancy and they were turned loose. The wonderful thing we are finding is this is orchestrated by the Holy Spirit meetings encounters worship is firing up everywhere and it is not focused around a man or ministry as no one man knows all that is going on. The good infection has begun.

People are telling us of prophecies happening in other parts of the country about a move of the Holy Ghost in the Boston area. The problem is people are looking to how that plays out in the church system and those waiting for that are too full to realize how empty they are. Those that don’t even know what a revival is are entering in and things are compounding. We had cooked a meal and were all just enjoying each other and the Holy Spirit. We sang, prayed thanks and shared throughout the night. Such was the community Holy Ghost spirit that one man who came to visit for 10 minutes stayed 90 minutes overtime. He was so touched by what he caught he has spent the week walking in the overflow and infecting others. We told him you can’t teach the book of Acts you have to catch it. This man does not understand what that means yet but he caught something. He left with a car jammed full of groceries and a community spirit he had never felt before.

We are starting to understand the bibles answer to an antichrist is the Holy Spirit working in , around and through true worshippers, who worship in SPIRIT and in truth. That does not just mean we speak in the wonderful language of the Holy Ghost tongues. Tongues is the gateway to the supernatural Holy Ghost lifestyle. A life style you can’t organize or plan, it flows out of the very essence of who we are. We don’t organize to feed people groceries we just facilitate what the Holy Spirit is doing, the more we facilitate the more it looks like Acts. The more it spreads and lives are changed.

So today 2 Corinthians 3:1-6 takes new meaning to me. Paul spent his life walking the book of Acts and encouraging us to live it as well and not to make our plans and our ways something of importance even in worshiping Jesus. He understood you can only catch the Holy Spirit and His lifestyle. Romans 8 is a wonderful impartation of such. If I can ever encourage you to do one thing it is this. Leave your programs behind and enter into the Holy Spirit lifestyle. Read Acts again and don’t do it CATCH IT!

Just so you can think I am even more nuts, get this inside you. Buildings and such tools are not important. Love Jesus, Love people and catch the Holy Spirit and out of that grows community in a Holy Ghost lifestyle. Like us if you need a building someone will walk into your life who has such. They will give you free use or some such miracle. Buildings are great but only when they are not my problem. Take to the streets, homes, coffee shops, parks and just flow in the Holy Ghost. Not to see things happen but because you are dry and empty and seek intimacy with the lover of your soul. Love Him be with Him, make Him your lifestyle and watch the incredible events that follow. Funny thing is no longer do you chase the events. Just walk with your love like Song of Solomon says “come away with me my love my beloved.”

Provoked by potential opportunities missed in lives, I wrote some thoughts and this is what came out. Hope this is OK and pray it is not. As the Holy Spirit is provoking and changing lives we all have significant choices. Opportunities that by the grace of God we will not squander. God help me (US) to never draw comfort from the world and all it has to offer. There is a new way of doing things that in fact is as old as the bible. God help us if we ever feel we have arrived. Like never before I begin to understand THIS IS THE TIME OF OUR VISITATION!

Speaking of right now I sense see and know as I draw near to Him incredible things happen. There has never been a time so obvious to me that the Holy Spirit is wanting to move. He just wants to move His way. To me that means allowing him to change my defaults and BE just “BE” who he made me too BE. Waking everyday in renewed intimacy and being amazed and the miracles that flow out of that. Such is TODAY such is NOW!

If you want to talk about missing the time of a visitation you have to think of this guy. What we will call the thirteenth disciple? Now Judas was bad, but what about the thirteenth disciple that never was, he truly missed his place in the kingdom and had to live with many regrets. The bible talks of him, not in these terms, but Jesus clearly sent us a message from his life. His name never made it into the pages of the eternal bible, he slipped away into obscurity and probably suffered many regrets in his old age. No regrets come close to this one missed opportunity. I could preach and draw many lessons from the passage that talks about him but in reality we either see ourselves in this man or we conveniently see him in someone else. I cannot imagine how this man felt, and for what? FOR WHAT? Read the passage and see for yourself. Mark 10:17-31.
17And as He was setting out on His journey, a man ran up and knelt before Him and asked Him, Teacher, [You are [j]essentially and perfectly [k]morally] good, what must I do to inherit eternal life [that is, [l]to partake of eternal salvation in the Messiah’s kingdom]?
18And Jesus said to him, Why do you call Me [[m]essentially and perfectly [n]morally] good? There is no one [[o]essentially and perfectly [p]morally] good–except God alone.
19You know the commandments: Do not kill, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not defraud, honor your father and mother
20And he replied to Him, Teacher, I have carefully guarded and observed all these and taken care not to violate them from my boyhood.
21And Jesus, looking upon him, loved him, and He said to him, You lack one thing; go and sell all you have and give [the money] to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come [and] accompany Me [[q]walking the same road that I walk]. 22At that saying the man’s countenance fell and was gloomy, and he went away grieved and sorrowing, for he was holding great possessions.
Could we say serving Jesus totally destroys life as we knew it. Sure many are at different places in their path with Jesus. But somewhere in life we all get the opportunity to lay life down and take His life up. We all get the chance to accompany Him walking the same road. This email is not about money but God help us to never deceive ourselves into thinking Jesus needs our money. Our money means NOTHING to God. So much so Jesus said give it all away. I am not against money but in reality if you think God needs your money you are the thirteenth disciple that will never be. Please find me one passage in the bible that refers to the rich in a good way. But so many strive to be what the bible has nothing kind to say about. See what comes out of us when confronted with walking out on our money comforts. Besides from a current position of not much I am BLOWN away at how the Holy Spirit moves regardless. In some of the most incredible ways I have ever seen. Intimacy is the answer!

With the rich young ruler it was not just about money. Could it have been in his heart his dependence was on himself and what he knew life to be. Could it have been he loved the respect he gained through his prominent place in society. Whatever was going on “JESUS LOVED HIM” the bible says. He must have been a good man with good morals attending a good temple or church. He must have had a passion for religion as he kept all the commandments so well. He just failed to understand there was nothing he could bring to the table to impress Jesus other than an empty broken life. Sadly he failed to see the eternal opportunity that was before him and became the thirteenth disciple that never was.

Revelation 4:11
“You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.”

The walk of the Holy Spirit is indeed progressive. As we see where God wants us to go it is a lot easier to get there. Many times through nothing but laziness we fail to see or grasp where God is taking us and therefore flap around in the wilderness killing time or struggling to come to terms with what God wants for our lives.
I believe one of the greatest things that kill a move of God in our lives is busyness. It can be so easy to be busy for Jesus and miss what it is He in fact wants. Natural men derive their self worth from what they do rather than from who He says they are and in so doing spend hours running around doing instead of listening to His words that say who we are and what we should do. These sort of men are miserable if they are not busy doing something with their hands.

I was recently talking with Daniel a friend in Indiana and we were bouncing something around, let me try and write some of that.
You see if we wake up each morning with intimacy then we will walk that intimacy with the Holy Spirit through the events of our day. If we are walking His will then everything we need for that day already exists and then all we have to do is create it in the Holy Spirit. For example we had been going through a dry patch financially and were digging for answers why. We all have dry financial times but this was different and we could identify the difference.
It set me thinking about Jesus telling His disciple to pay the taxes by catching a fish, reaching into its mouth and taking a coin out. Think about it he told a fisherman to catch a fish and take a coin from its mouth. On our level we would expect a fisherman to sell the fish and pay the tax. Jesus, I believe was teaching us something here, he was saying my ways go beyond your natural ways. Many will never take the time to get hold of this truth. They will always stay on the selling fish level. That may not be wrong but I am putting before you the fact the fishes mouth has a coin in it. Of course there is pressure of course we don’t understand what is going on but whatever you do don’t jump off the rollercoaster half way through. Go beyond the natural abilities we have and take hold of the supernatural abilities in God. Create in the Holy Spirit! Now that could mean what we are used to doing will have super blessing but again it is not about the fish but the supernatural blessing that creates in everything we do. The joy is not just in the fishing but in the supernatural results.

While meditating on this passage I just said Lord I reach into the fishes mouth today and take the needed finances. Or put another way I said Lord I am walking your will and all things exist, now I create in the Holy Ghost what is needed for my bills and living. Well a little later the phone rang and it was a man wanting to meet me. I had not had much to do with him in a while but we met the next day and he handed me $500 and proceeded to tell me he felt weeks ago to give it to me but just had not. You see as we walked Gods will, the needed finances already existed and as I created in the Holy Ghost it came, he acted. A few days later another $800 came and things are rolling.

We have to go beyond the natural to see supernatural results. We have to get past selling fish, for many of us Jesus called us to drop our fishing nets and follow him how tragic if we go back to selling fish instead of catching the fish for fun. The problem is not in catching fish it is if we think the fish and our ability is the answer to our problems. Catch the fish for fun and let the supernatural take over. I would like to say I have arrived in this revelation but in reality I have not. Sometimes I sell fish but as I started by saying if you can see it you can walk it and I believe each of us are being invited to go beyond our natural ability and create in the Holy Ghost the incredible things His will brings into existence around our lives.

Asked to explain the current and compounding move of the Spirit of God it can be hard to teach something you catch. But there are some common thoughts that are coming through as we learn to walk what the Holy Spirit is doing.
The spontaneous is a large part of this move. When you think about it the spontaneous in any romance is always powerful and fresh. Now I have mentioned previous about the spontaneous song that we are seeing manifest. But it is important to emphasize it is not just about song. I believe spontaneous song speaks and expresses Gods heart for NOW, it creates, builds and is fresh. It can’t be marketed on a CD and it brings glory to none but Christ. You see to market intimacy is nothing short of prostitution. Spontaneous song is intimacy and some of the best songs will only be song once. One who is not in the Holy Spirit cannot enter or replicate the song as the tune comes from heaven and has its own resonance. So sure song and those who worship lead the way in this move but the spontaneous does not stop there it carries to every part of life as long as your life style becomes the Holy Spirit.

That life style we are finding results in spontaneous church in many places. Prayer meetings just spring up, not organized but available to all who are tuned in. Spontaneous meetings have been flowing, spontaneous and amazing meetings that bring provision. One such meeting has established massive amounts of food being donated to feed families, on an ongoing basis. Spontaneous appointments with individuals are always amazing and in the words of one man who was just touched by such a meeting. “my world has been turned upside down since that time”
Unity flows in the spontaneous and those who God brings flow in like they have been there and known everyone for a lifetime. In the spontaneous we are seeing people meeting each others needs without even knowing the people have the need. You see as they walk the Holy Spirit lifestyle they give where the Holy Spirit directs and amazing needs are being met. Nobody controls the giving and nobody coordinates, the Holy Spirit just speaks to those making Him their lifestyle. One such manifestation has led to a rent free home, the people concerned don’t even really know each other but as the Holy Spirit directs they have flowed together like they have known each other for a lifetime. Another such manifestation last week led to a family who was short on their rent paying all their bills.

In the spontaneous the pastor goes to the people he does not expect the people to come to him. Pastors are led to meetings and God appointments, where they build the people concerned. They never recruit but encourage. They don’t book a huge schedule of meetings but teach people to walk by the Holy Spirit and follow His promptings. Such disciples of Christ then become God dependant instead of being church system or pastor dependant. A pastor moves throughout the city or area God has assigned him to. Funny thing he does not seem to carry the title he just does the job he loves minus the burdens. One week he is in a place and the next somewhere else. So I hear you ask who takes responsibility for the people and it needs to be understood they are Gods people and a pastor walking the Holy Spirit lifestyle walks together with people as long as their paths move together. That could be moments or lifetimes. But there is no ownership of people.

Oh yes of course people meetings or church meetings do continue and some places become focal to such as we find in scripture. But it is not like the current form we are all accustomed to. Deacons and elders seem to be ones who God uses to put things together. People seem to be drawn to these individuals and we find ones with such an anointing just have people constantly turn up and call asking for meetings or seeking more. Such a person who is an elder or deacon just makes the logistics or a community move possible. When in a home they make sure people who are excited leave at a reasonable hour. They clean up the house or place so the owners are not burdened. These ones are essential and transparent not seeking glory but seeking to remove obstacles to the flow of the Holy Spirit.

One major change to the way things happen is we no longer recruit. As people we are so good at sales and the soul realm of moving peoples emotion. But in this move we endeavor to not do this. We have a saying hold the jeweled egg. That egg of the presence of the Holy Spirit cracks if we move to show it off or market it. If we call people to look our actions crack the egg. So we stand still and take the verse literal that says. Unless the Lord builds the house they labor in vain who build it. So we hold the jeweled egg and the Holy Spirit draws who He wants to come see it. May sound strange but let me assure you after years of ministry it is enjoyable to minister to people God brings by supernatural appointments. They come to see the egg and all who come are impacted in some way. Some are never seen again, but many reappear and want help to understand how to walk intimacy with the Holy Spirit. So we hold the egg.

Signs and wonders although never the focus they are increasing and changing or IMPACTING lives. We all stand in awe or Rev 4:11 and understand that as we walk His will all things are created and come into existence. Stay in His will with a Holy Spirit lifestyle and what is created does nothing less than AMAZE! One example was one believer who’s mortgage was due. The morning of the due payment he had nothing and by the afternoon he sat with thousands of dollars in his hand that he never chased it came to him as he walked the will of God and by doing so allowed God to create what was needed for that moment around his life.

Incredibly when we talk to others in other areas and parts of the world we hear the same words and revelations of God. As mentioned in the last email a man in the UK heard a verse in Isaiah the same as we did here in Boston at the same time for the same moment. As I closed my bible he called with his revelation of the verse and passage I was just drawn to read. He later added that another man from another part of the world called him with the same verse that was being spoken to him. The morning after we spoke. ( I am not free to mention where or who as we do not have his permission as yet) So three men totally unconnected except by the Holy Spirit heard the same words at the same time. God is expressing His symphony and to play in His orchestra you must lay your instruments and talents down and pick His up. Imagine having 3 musicians in three separate rooms playing what came from their heart. If you listen to that music you would find it played a phenomenal symphony of music. Totally in time in the same key and beginning and ending the same. The orchestra is blessed to hear the other master musician play his part as it adds to the music from heaven. Such are those who are walking this fresh current and NOW move of the Holy Spirit. They hear His voice, His music for life and as they play it out all His musicians with a Holy Spirit lifestyle are amazed to hear others are playing the same tune at the same moments in time.

Could it be that the bride that Jesus promised to return for will be made up of those who worship in Spirit and in truth. If so, I for one, the more I see this life style manifest around me desire to change my life habits and patterns to be renewed. Funny thing is all who come are saying the same and not just talking it but waking it. The common term we are hearing from Christian believers ( some professing to be Holy Spirit filled already) entering in to this is “my life has been turned upside down” To see the world from standing on your head certainly changes everything. Which way do you see the world currently?

Thursday night the meeting was completely different to any we have had thus far. Amongst other things a real liberty and freedom arrived. For me as a dad it was wonderful to watch my nine year old son Joshua prophecy again. The more he is doing it the more depth he is getting, very exciting and fun to see not only as a dad but as someone hungry for more. At nine years old there is no show, no fear just a desire for God. Joshua spent a good part of the afternoon sitting in his room singing, worshipping and praying. When kids do that without us telling them or encouraging them to then you know something is happening.

There are reports of things going on all over the place but one thing that really was encouraging for me personally occurred on Thursday afternoon. I had been talking to God about the futility of our words without His words and ours being one. I really felt there was something in Isaiah 64,65, 66 that was what He wanted to say. I just finished reading it, closed my bible and was sitting musing things when the phone rang. It was John from Leeds UK, a friend God is stirring the same as us in the Leeds area. He proceeded to tell me he was on his way to preach and what He was to preach about and you guessed it the passage he was using came from Isaiah 66. He was talking the same message but with his way of saying it. He sent me a text the next morning praising God they saw a witch come to Christ in their meeting. John is part of a Holy Spirit inspired and led move that is flowing in a coffee shop in Skipton. A greater realization arrived that God is starting to move in many places around the world. Like Skipton and here in Boston we hear the same Holy Spirit at the same time and see similar manifestations. (incredible when you think about it that two separate parts of the world moved in unison, if we have one world then one Spirit will manifest accordingly)God is doing a “new thing” that really is an “old thing” and the amazing part of that is many look straight at it and never see it. Maybe because it does not fit in the confines of organized and controlled. As never before in my life the Holy Spirit is doing incredible things but we have to stop, stir ourselves and listen as the music He is playing has changed, or maybe we have.

The concern with writing about events is that so many today are entertainment focused. If God is doing something they want to be there but if they were honest with themselves they would understand they are dry and looking for the next “thing”. We have an addicted generation, addicted to feeling good times and the thought that life is all about them. As things are changing and the Holy Spirit is moving we no longer advertise meetings, we don’t recruit but rather sit on our hands in a manner of speaking, and wait for God to bring who He wants that are ready to receive. Matt came as such an individual, he recently told me how he had to make the choice to let God rearrange his life or to go on business as usual, after being impacted by a divine meeting of individuals that bought about a divine encounter with God, his life will never be the same. We don’t chase him or convince him, if what is happening is real as he comes he is changed.

Just like our Joshua and his new depth or prophecy. I am finding the more we position ourselves and do according to Isaiah 64:7 ( 7 No one calls on your name, or strives to lay hold of you;)then greater ways of the Holy Spirit manifest around life. The desire for the crowd is secondary and a renewed desire for intimacy takes the lead. Intimacy for the Holy Spirit and intimacy of a Holy Spirit lifestyle. We are still catching hold of what that means but I for one while resting in the Holy Spirit of God strive to stir myself for more. How do you explain the color blue to a blind man who has never seen. Such is the current move of the Holy Spirit. Unless one catches the book of Acts it will never fully manifest in their life and those that think they have caught it position themselves to miss out.
